This blog was inspired by Jane Dunnewold's blog Daily Visuals, and my goal is to post a picture a day. This blog is also dedicated to my Mom who passed away five years ago today (Nov.30,2004). When I received my first camera about fifty years ago, I was reprimanded because I took a whole roll of film of "nothing" and it cost too much to get it developed. Well I'm still taking pictures of nothing, it doesn't cost anything to develop them now and I'm going to share them with you.
Oh my! What a fairy tale lurks here! There is a fantasy white castle in the background reminds me a bit like Oz.
ReplyDeleteand can you see the face of the ogre in the frost of the foreground? Perhaps caused partially by your shadow. It changes the perspective and makes the frosty part look as if it was under water. He/she is either lurking, or is hunched up on knees praying someone will come release it. And it is given more life by the movement of water in the centre of the pond.
I know I have a good imagination, but do tell me you can see it too!

Well my shadow is there, and if I look long enough I may see the ogre! And that fantasy white castle, is in reality grain silos. But the fairy tale version sounds so much better!
ReplyDeleteI did know it was grain silos. but they sort of have a shimmer round them: )
ReplyDeleteyour shadow is the right shoulder and bent arm of the giant/orgre. It's hands are folded together under its face. okay, maybe I have too much of an imagination.
Anyway. If you do a give away photo thing next year, I will have to try to remember this one!
or would you be willing to make this a collaboration? If I took your photo and made the fairy tale? Not sure I'd get to it for a little while, but I love it!
